Wow this weekend was busy! Busy but fun. In case you missed it, my brother was commissioned on Friday. He is now a Marine Corps Officer.
This is my favorite picture from the day. He looks so grown up. 🙂
Friday night, after the commissioning, Marcus and I had a double header with our slow pitch team. And even though we are in a tougher division this season, we still dominated. So far we are undefeated. Knock on wood. 😉
I had the perfect Saturday morning – a sweaty, hilly run on the George Washington Parkway, farmer’s market for some eggs and Trader Joe’s for lots of delish food!
Marcus and Bill played some golf in the house.
We grilled out and had steak/tofu burger, squash, and mini baked potatoes.
Aren’t the purple potatoes awesome? They taste completely normal, but are purple inside. Love them!
Then we played real golf outside of the house and went to the driving range with friends.
After the range, everyone came over and Bill took a nap on the table. What a cutie. 🙂
We spent all day Sunday on the ball field. Marcus had a double header and hit yet another home run. That’s four this season for all those keeping track. And like a good girlfriend, I sat in the blazing sun and kept score. Fan of the year, right here.
After two wins, we went home and relaxed by watching the first two episodes of the newest season of Weeds. Love the show, but it has gotten really far-fetched. Still entertaining though.
It was the perfect weekend. I’m ready for the next one! 🙂
